Miniature Cattle I am not one to easily pass a pet shop and leave without something in tow so the inevitable happened and I came home with Grawood McDonald (much thanks to Colleen Nott of Grawood Miniatures). Grawood of course needed some girlfriends and we sourced pure miniature Herefords, a dun coloured highland and some small belted galloways as our foundation stock. Much thanks go here to Tony - my mum's ever patient partner who catered to my whim and allowed me some space on his farm, until the drought has forced us onto agistment closer to the city. As such we now have a second and third generation of mixed breeds - staying true to my Scottish heritage they are all English/Scottish breeds and as winter comes put on an cute and fluffy fur coat which just adds to their cuteness. We have been extremely lucky to have managed to breed so small so quickly, as our pride and joy, Pumpkin stands about 3 feet tall at 20 months. Bruce moves ever closer to convincing me that a hobby farm is a great idea so we can spend more time with the cattle. He has addedd some Pure breed Miniature Herefords (January and Burnie). Next time I would like to add some more highlands and white Galloways. Anyway, have a look at the photos. I am hoping to convince my brother who is doing this website for us (thanks Rich) that another page of pics is justified to show off our strange and varied collection of animals - dogs, cats, bantam chickens, ducks, sea horses, chinchilla cats, dwarf lop rabbits.
